“Mycenae – Nafplio – Epidaurus. Travel to the golden city of Agamemnon and to the “art of drama” city”

Our first stop is at the Corinth Canal, a place not to be missed when touring the area. You may walk across the bridge to take pictures from both sides of the road.

Then visit Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets. The guide will reveal the secrets hiding under the ruins and then, in the Museum search for the sacred serpents of Asclepios to get their blessing. Heading south, you will then reach the famous Mycaneaic Acropolis through the Lions’ Gate where the tragic faith of the Atreidean Family still haunts the grounds and pay respects in the Dome, Tomb of Agamemnon where the famous funerary mask was discovered.

Depart for Nafplio through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. Find numerous interesting spots of attractions all over Argolis.  Also, the ideal place for our lunch break.

Leave for Epidaurus, to visit the 4th-century BC theatre famous for its astonishing acoustics. In the antiquity, Epidaurus was connected with the healing center of Asclepeion and is considered the home of origin of medical science.  Also, the art of drama in Epidaurus was connected with the healing of the human soul, the supreme beauty and moreover the salvation of one’s soul.

Sites Stops: Ancient Myceanae, Nafplio City for a lunch break (not included), Ancient Epidaurus.
