Start with an orientation city drive in the city highlights and must-see spots [Panathenaic Stadium, Greek Parliament (guarded by the Evzones), the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Zappeion (Conference and Exhibition Hall), Temple of Olympian Zeus, the National Garden, the Hadrian Arch, University of Athens, the National Library)].

Your guide will give you an orientation to Athens’ fascinating history and culture. The visit to the Panathenaic Stadium is an epic moment! It is the modern Olympic games starting point and the place that still is being vibrated by the victorious echoing of the laurel-crowned athletes. Take photos of the famous stadium and walk around the track.

Be amazed by the size of Olympian Zeus Temple and the impressive view of the East wing of Parthenon. See the Adrian’s Arch, separating the old Greek city from the Roman. As you continue through the city, always remember to look up. On many occasions, you can catch views of the Acropolis. Several of Athens’ streets allow you to view the famous hill and the Parthenon from various angles.

Then, beyond the Royal Gardens drive to the steps of the former royal family and discover the hidden gazebos with the lonely statues to reach the Parliament at Syntagma Square with the presidential Guards. Here you’ll admire the Parliament building and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. Watch the official changing of the guards in their traditional uniforms from the Revolution of 1821.

Ending with the Neoclassical Athenian Trilogy (Academy of Arts-University- Library). Built by the newly founded modern Greek State, these landmarks are a tribute to the Ancient Greek civilization!
